Our Story

At Drive Family First, family isn’t just part of our name—it’s at the heart of everything we do.

Founded by Rob Martinez and his wife Shelly Motoyoshi, along with their children Nico, Mackenzie, and Braeden, and made possible through the partnership and support of Bob Giles of Giles Automotive, Drive Family First is the realization of a family’s dedication to the American dream. With Hispanic and Japanese roots, the Martinez-Motoyoshi family’s diverse heritage instilled in them the values of hard work, respect, and community—principles that guide every aspect of our business today.

For Rob and Shelly, success has never been measured solely by numbers. It’s measured by relationships built, trust earned, and communities strengthened. Their vision for Drive Family First was to create a place where every person feels supported—whether purchasing a car, visiting a service center, or seeking collision repairs.

From the very beginning, their children—Nico, Mackenzie, and Braeden—have been part of the journey, embodying the same values that drive the business forward: fairness, integrity, and care for others.

But Drive Family First is about more than automotive services. It’s about giving back, especially to children, families and veterans in need. Inspired by the belief that every child deserves a bright future, the Martinez-Motoyoshi family proudly supports organizations like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Shriners Children's Hospital, ensuring that their success directly benefits the communities they serve.

At Drive Family First, we don’t just serve our customers—we welcome you into our extended family. Every interaction is built on trust, every service is delivered with care, and every success is shared with the community.

Because when family values lead the way and trust drives every decision, you’re not just building a business—you’re building something that truly lasts.
